PAGE 2 TAU TALK I n a time when the challenges and financial needs are greater than ever for college students, we are honored to provide financial assistance through scholarships to our ATΩ undergraduate brothers. Last spring, we awarded 23 scholarships totaling $30,000 to undergraduate brothers who achieved academic success during the fall 2019 semester. The young men of Gamma Upsilon are making impressive scholastic strides, as the GPA of the scholarship winners last semester was 3.67. We also established and awarded the first $500 Gamma Upsilon Loyalty Scholarships to two out-of-house actives who demonstrate a strong commitment to the chapter and their studies. Congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients for their outstanding academic success and contributions to Gamma Upsilon and Iowa State. Our ability to support the undergraduates through our scholarship program is a result of your ongoing commitment and financial contributions. Please consider donating to the Chris Diaguila Strive for Achievement Scholarship, general scholarships fund, or for chapter house improvements. Donations can be made by check, payable to the ATΩ or ISU Foundation. In the check memo, please indicate which of the three fundraising targets you'd like your contribution to be applied. A receipt will be provided. Checks should be mailed to the following address: Alpha Tau Omega at Iowa State University Gamma Upsilon Chapter P.O. Box 1022 Ames, IA 50014-1021 Thanks to the brothers who made financial contributions to Gamma Upsilon since our last issue of Tau Talk. Your continued support is greatly appreciated!
