To me, Alpha Delta Pi means a lifelong sisterhood in which our connection with each other becomes stronger in our weaknesses." Halle is a Nutritional Sciences major, with a minor in Microbiology. Halle served Alpha Omicron Chapter as Executive VP, 2019, Historian, fall 2018, and currently serves as the Sisterhood Program Specialist. Her on-campus involvement with the organization Global Medical Brigades has proven to be a significant experience. As the largest student-led movement for global health to help resolve health and economic disparities, this organization provided her the opportunity to view healthcare on a global level and strengthen her understanding and desire to pursue a career as a physician. With this group, she traveled to Central America to provide access to healthcare in rural Honduran communities. While there, she had the opportunity to host a free health clinic for three days, dig a trench for a water pipeline and construct an eco-friendly stove for a family. "The conversations I had with the doctors [there] were eye-opening. Both the Honduran doctors and the American doctor explained to us the importance of looking at a problem from multiple angles and not just relying on one solution. These experiences and conversations resonated with me for the rest of the trip and still does to this day." 4 The Lion's Share As a reminder: If you donate to OSU, there is always an option to designate where your donation will be applied. Because Alpha Delta Pi-AO Chapter has an Endowed Scholarship with the OSU Foundation, any donor may designate that all or part of their donation to the OSU Foundation go toward the AO Scholarship Fund. Donors still get the tax-deductible benefit, still get credit for donating to OSU and donors can help the AO Chapter by contributing to our scholarship fund.
