There will also be an Alpha Omicron sign that glows OSU orange over the top of the collage. Check pointed out that the third-floor study lounge will be a popular spot for the women. It features a variety of fun furniture styles for studying in groups or gathering with sisters and opens out onto the over- the-porch roof deck with a view of University Avenue! As with any commercial project, there are always a few challenges and certainly COVID-19 created the need for a few adjustments. Lead time for materials increased, along with fabrication and transport time to the job site. Some selected products were discontinued or out of stock. But Check and the AO House Corporation were able to make quick decisions without compromising the overall design aesthetic and kept the project on track without delays. "I'm so excited for the alumnae to experience the new chapter house and bring their families to see it in person," said Check. "I'm looking forward to all the memories that will be made in the new house and how it will serve as the perfect place to celebrate our sisterhood for our next 100 years at OSU. I hope the alumnae are proud to call the new chapter house home and know that every detail, piece of FURNISH, FUND AND FINISH WELL (Continued from page 1) HOW YOU CAN HELP t Make a one-time gift, recurring gift, or pledge commitment at https://www.alphadeltapi.org/Foundation/Donate. t Currently have a pledge commitment in place? For Check, this was more than just another job. "I kept thinking of my sisters and how hard everyone had worked to make this project possible and that kept me pushing forward to make it happen," she said. "It's been a fun journey to experience, and it took everyone's contributions and hard work to make it possible." Sisters and friends of Alpha Delta Pi continue to validate their belief in this project. Even during a global pandemic, sisters show their commitment and dedication to this project through their giving. To all those women, we say THANK YOU! While the construction moves toward completion, the fundraising has not yet reached the finish line. We still need your help to FUND AND FINISH well. We have a $1 million fundraising goal that will reduce our debt and ensure collegiate sisters and their families do not have to bear a financial burden so large that it affects our chapter's stability and long-term success at Oklahoma State University. To date, 567 donors have joined the AO Educational Housing campaign and we have raised $1,647,555.76! THANK YOU! But we have 2,176 active alumnae sisters and 21 affiliates. Only 26% of AO alumnae have made a gift. WE NEED MORE PARTICIPATION! We realize these are uncertain times and the global pandemic has impacted us all. If you made a gift, we genuinely appreciate your support! If you have not yet donated, we ask every sister to look closely at this opportunity to shape the future and determine how you can help. A gift of any amount will make a difference! Love and Loyally, AO Expansion Campaign Committee THIRD-FLOOR STUDY LOUNGE
