He is also the owner of All American Homes Rent- al Management and has been in the rental management business for 30 years. He believes in treating clients like they were members of the family. His company is consistently ranked among the top real estate offices in the Fayetteville market. Dowdy is a two-time past president of the Fayetteville Regional Association Real- tors and was nominated for Realtor of the Year in 2010. He also is a two-time past president of the Realtors Political Action Committee for the NC Realtors. Dowdy is passionate about giving back to his community, including serving on the board of directors for the Fayetteville Regional Association of Realtors and partici- pating in fundraisers for Fayetteville Technical Community College, Home Builders Association of Fayetteville and the Center for Economic Empowerment Develop- ment. Dowdy, who grew up in a military family, also is a supporter of the Military Advantage Program for Veterans. In his spare time, Dowdy enjoys music and playing the drums. He and his wife Grisel Lopez-McGurty even dressed up as Gene Simmons of the rock group KISS and Madonna for the Dancing with the Fayetteville Stars fundraiser. Dowdy is the father of four children and two stepsons and is proud that his son JJ has joined the family business as a third-generation Realtor.
