BY GEORGE DICKIE What attracted you to your role of the wife of a missing businessman in "The Sounds"? Well, I'd be a liar if I didn't say I didn't really want to go make a miniseries or film something in New Zealand. The fact that it was shot in New Zealand was really appealing. I've always wanted to go there. And then I really loved the idea of – I'd just come off a TV series where I played a lawyer in a procedural format. It was a show called "Proven Innocent." And it was early 2019 and was looking for something that was decidedly different, and so an eight- part miniseries, mystery that was not procedural, nonlinear and all kinds of amazing characters – everything about it was so different from the job I'd just done. And it was really appealing to just go and off in this other world that was character driven. With everything having shut down, do you have any work in the offing? I did have something in the pipeline that got postponed because of the pandemic and I don't know if it got postponed indefinitely or it will resurrect. No idea. So there was that. And then nothing at the moment. The industry is opening very, very slowly right now and I also travel, which is extremely difficult, so we'll see. I think like everyone else, it's kind of like wait and see and try to navigate it. I know that I'll work again eventually but on what and where and when, I couldn't tell you. We're having a once-in-a- century occurrence.
