CHAPTER GRAND
Jerry Svoboda '56 entered Chapter Grand
on May 28. Jerry was a licensed barber in
Nebraska and Colorado and was named
Nebraska Barber of the Year in 1978. His
activities included horseshoe pitching,
participating in the men's group at Christ
United Methodist Church, volunteering at
the Buckhorn Methodist Church Camp, and
attending his granddaughters' sporting events
and graduations. He will be missed by family,
friends, and brothers.
Lynn Wulf '64 entered Chapter Grand on
November 30, 2019. Lynn was born in Omaha,
Neb., and attended Blair High School where
he was part of a top-rated football team. After
college, he worked in Cincinnati, Miami, and
eventually Denver, where he resided most of
his life. He was honorably discharged from the
U.S. Army Reserves where he was trained as a
military policeman. He is missed by his family
and brothers.

Jack Wilson '48 lost his wife, Marilyn
Kuhlman Wilson, in December of 2018. Jack

Raymond Vlasin '51 has remained active
since retirement. He co-authored two books:
one on high performance teams, another on
the history of MSU's College of Agriculture.
Ray lives in East Lansing, Mich., and served
on the city's financial health team. He has
also served as a chairman of his neighborhood
association. He currently serves as a consultant
on community and economic development, as
well as team and organizational development.

John Burbank '54 and the rest of the Burbank
family were planned to be honored at the 2020
Medallion Dinner on April 3 with the Nebraska
Alumni Association Family Tree Award. The
dinner was canceled in March and the family
will be honored next year. They live in Eau

Galen Frenzen '63 is still farming and ranching
and plans to do so as long as he is physically
able. "2019 was the most brutal calving season
we have ever endured—plus we were hit hard
by the March 13-15 flood." Galen lives in

Richard Barnes '65 remains in good health.
"Still have my appetite honed from three years
on kitchen crew!" Dick lives in Phillips, Neb.

Dave Rasmussen '70 retired in early 2020
after 46 years of banking. He remains on the
board of directors of York State Bank and plans
to enjoy his hobbies of cars and tractors. Dave
and Julie live in York, Neb., within five miles
of their children and grandchildren, "which is a

Tad Stryker '80 still works at News Link
in Lincoln, Neb., and as a columnist for
HuskerMax.com, a Nebraska Cornhusker
sports website. He is an elder at F Street
Neighborhood Church in Lincoln. Tad and his
wife, Jean, have five grandchildren. "We are

Brian Peterson '84 and his wife, Kris, joined
with the John Maxwell Team to carry John
Maxwell's leadership legacy into the future.
They have formed Leadership Harbor to help
individuals grow personally and professionally.

Scott Keetle '93 accepted a new position as VP,
general manager of Seed Architects LLC—the
commercial division of Inari Agriculture. He
lives in Carmel, Ind.
Nick Miesbach '12 and his wife, Emily
were married in July 2019. Nick graduated from
pharmacy school in 2019 and works for Prime
Therapeutics in Omaha, Neb., as a clinical review
