The record-breaking water ride Mystic River Falls at Silver Dollar City splashes through the night until 10 p.m. during the 1880s-style theme park's Moonlight Madness Festival, happening now through August 9. A family-friendly rapids ride, Mystic River Falls takes riders on a nearly half-mile journey on a quest to find the headwaters of the elusive "Mystic River." For centuries, even up to today, scientists and adventurers have yet to find the end to the real Mystic River which flows underneath the theme park in its very own Marvel Cave. Night rides on Mystic River Falls are lit by beautiful blue, purple and red hues by a state-of-the-art lighting system. After the river journey is complete, adventurous families ascend an 8-story rotating elevator lift, the only of its kind in the world, before traversing to the ride's finale— a 4.5 story record-breaking drop down a waterfall. At 45 feet, Mystic River Falls features the "Tallest Drop on a Raft Ride in the Western Hemisphere!" For the most daring adventurers, a late-night hunger can be satisfied at the adjacent Rivertown Smokehouse. Nestled on the banks of Mystic River Falls, the all-new Smokehouse features smoked-in-house barbeque scratch-made sides and even desserts like gooey butter cake and cinnamon roll bread pudding, along with even more choices at the adjacent Clara Belle's Cinnamon Bread. The park's other rides run into the night, too, including the world- record breaking Time Traveler and Outlaw Run roller coasters, family adventures in the Grand Exposition and Fireman's Landing areas and other family favorites.
