The design actually makes the lake appear closer and integrates the indoor and outdoor areas. It even expands cool weather use with strategically placed heaters and a large fire table. The project features an operable pergola with motorized screen walls and architectural columns over a bluestone patio. The rope lighting, wall sconces and fire feature produce a pleasant after dark ambiance. Replacing the wood deck with an elevated patio and landscaped beds enhances enjoyment of the garden from inside the home. Smyrna, Georgia With team member Southeastern Underdeck Systems, LLC Team effort, creativity and innovation were needed to install this new wood deck, which features new floor framing, Chippendale handrails, custom corbels and diagonal decking. To achieve this, a pressure treated engineered beam for the header was installed to carry the upper load. Then a PVC under-deck system was put in place. Third, stacked stonework was installed at the base of the steps. PVC columns and LED lights, along with a two-color paint scheme for the deck and rails finish the space.
