T hrough these trying times, Alpha Theta Delta has stepped into 2020 to our full capabilities. We initiated 17 gentlemen into the bonds of our brotherhood. We won Alpha Gamma Delta's Mr. Greek and contributed heavily to Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has put all those achievements into perspective and allowed us to realize that in these tough times we need to come together as brothers. I could not be prouder of the collective effort to continue our Stuff the Bus philanthropy event, which raised over $5,000 in support of Food Lifeline to fight hunger in Western Washington. In just a few short months, bonds have grown between freshmen and seniors, and all those in between. In my third year here, I have seen the impact the annex has brought, not only as lodging, but as a way to keep the brotherhood closer, and we thank everyone who helped contribute to that project. To maintain the brotherhood as the Lodge remains empty, we have hosted Zoom dinners, created a stock portfolio challenge, created online gaming servers, and encouraged brothers to attend chapter programming. While these bonds have grown, it is sad to see the seniors have an absence of their final quarter at the UW. As undergraduates, we look forward to this last quarter with our brothers as a time to celebrate and a time to reflect. The seniors graduating are a great group of gentlemen, and as the sands of time flow swiftly, I hope they cherish every moment of their time at the Lodge, and in the future as alumni. To fill the spots of those fine gentlemen, Trevor Garrood '21 and Guy Gaspari '22 look to bring in a group of fine individuals we hope to call brothers. Read how Trevor is adapting our recruitment on page 3! We as a brotherhood cannot be what we are without the help of alumni, and all that you have contributed to the Lodge, and we thank you. I hope that you are all staying safe during these times and keeping up with your brothers as well.
