The hundreds in attendance who enjoyed the refreshing first free swim of the season, all left excited with the thought of seven more free swim Saturdays. The pool is open 12:30-5 p.m. and can be rented for private parties in the mornings before 12:30 p.m., in the evenings after 5 p.m. and all day Sun- day. There will be three sessions of swim lessons each lasting two weeks. The first day of swim lessons, the lifeguards will assess and place in appropriate skill level classes. These young adults are planning activities for Tehama County 4-H Summer Youth Camp scheduled Sat- urday, Aug. 7 through Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Camp Tehama in Mill Creek. There is still space available. Youth entering fourth through eighth grades in the fall are invited to attend as campers. Bring a friend or meet a new face. 4-H membership is not required. Activities include singing and skits, hiking and nature, fishing, archery, creek play, team games and crafts. This year’s theme is Among the Stars, with special activities being planned. The cost for the five-day camp is $95 for youth and $80 for 4-H mem- bers. To receive this price your appli- cation must be turned in by July 2. Fireworks booth sales The Los Molinos Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to start its fireworks Sales on Monday, June 28, and is in need of volunteers, especially during the noon to 3 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. slots. The fireworks sales are what support the chamber. With- out the sales, it has no operating cash. The chamber is an entirely volunteer-managed group. It does not receive funding from any federal, state or local agency. Without support from businesses and residents, the chamber and all of its activities would cease to exist.
