he Gamma Theta alumni leadership has developed an exciting plan
to address the long-term viability of the Sigma Chi experience on the
University of Florida campus. Through careful study, assessment, and
planning, it has been determined that the construction of a new chapter house
is necessary.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
• Architecture style – Collegiate Gothic
• 23,500 square feet of living space
• Capacity for 54 beds
• 28 bedrooms will include 6 singles, 18 doubles, and 4 triples
• Formal living room with large screen television, gas fireplace, and
display space for awards and memorabilia
• Dining room with seating for 80
• Game room and informal living room at the back of the house
• Full-service kitchen
• Snack kitchen, with beverages and snacks, open 24 hours for
live-in members
• House irector suite on the first floor with living room, bedroom,
bathroom, kitchenette, and office
• Chapter room in basement with seating for 100 members
• Weight room in basement
• Library in basement with space for individual and group study
• Laundry rooms located on upper and lower levels
• Security system using key cards or fingerprint reading capability
• ADA compliance
• Commercial fire alarm system
