Building for Our Next 100 Years at 310 S. Monroe TAU BETA CHAPTER OF CHI OMEGA AT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY W hen we look back at our own Chi Omega experiences, we're reminded how the friendships, leadership, and service—even decades ago—helped shape who we are today. Chi Omega and our Tau Beta sisters provided a safety net as we navigated our collegiate years and pushed us to pursue the best versions of ourselves. We still remember, as we're sure you do, the great times we had together at the Chapter House and the memories we created. Our Chapter House at 310 S. Monroe has been a part of Tau Beta's legacy for more than 90 years. However, Greek life at Oklahoma State University has grown exponentially over the years, and our new member classes continue increasing. Tau Beta has more than 200 active members today, and we anticipate that number to steadily rise over the next several years. Today's Chapter House cannot adequately accommodate our growing new member classes. While we still recruit and attract some of the top women at Oklahoma State University, it's important that we stay on par with the facilities that other sororities are offering. Given these immediate needs, and the ever- demanding cost of upkeep, the Tau Beta House Corporation, a capital campaign committee of 20 alumnae spanning several eras, and the collegians are proud to announce the Building for Our Next 100 Years at 310 S. Monroe capital campaign. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it was determined that a $10.2 million rebuild was the most cost- effective option to ensure that the facility meets the needs of today's students and will allow us to remain competitive on campus. Our new house will be a modernized facility that will help our Chapter maintain a competitive edge on campus while creating a safe home away from home for all—a home that all alumnae can still be proud to call their own. Teaming up with Tulsa-based firm Selser Schaefer Architects, the Tau Beta House Corporation is working diligently to ensure the new Chapter House retains its timeless elegance while providing the necessary upgrades. Construction is set to begin in May 2021 and will be completed in summer 2022. Early commitments from 105 generous alumnae, undergraduates, and friends total more than $4.6 million. This is a great start, but we need your help to reach our $6 million campaign goal. This is the time to remember your Tau Beta experience. Remember the impact Chi Omega had on you. It's only through the lifelong bonds of the XΩ sisterhood that future generations may share the same experience. We need you now more than ever to help propel Tau Beta into the next 100 years at Oklahoma State University. In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information detailing the project, campaign, and ways in which you can help. We will be honored to have you join our growing list of loyal supporters who are providing for future generations, as previous sisters did for all of us. Thank you for your loyalty, consideration, and support of Tau Beta!
