Alumni Communications Program
Brothers, Now Is the Time to Reconnect!
T
he past few months have been busy for the brothers of Gamma Rho
Chapter. The Alpha Tau Omega Gamma Rho Housing Corporation is
on solid financial ground. The House had 74 members living-in during the
fall semester. We fully expect to have 80 or more in fall 2020 (maximum
capacity is 84).
When members moved into the House last fall, they were greeted with
numerous improvements completed over the summer. We invested more
than $171,000 into these updates:
• Full renovation of House Director apartment
• Full painting of all hallway walls and ceilings
• All new great hall and pool room furniture and decorations
• New bedroom furniture (mattresses, dressers, desks) throughout the House
• Mold remediation in basement
• Updated HVAC, CO2 detectors, exhaust fans, etc.
• New external security camera system
Last April we hired Beverly Warford as our new House Director. Miz B,
as she is affectionately called by our active members, has been a huge
asset and benefit to the House and Chapter. She is actively engaged with
the members and Housing Corp.
We are hopeful that our Housing Corporation alumni newsletters will help
connect alumni across the country with the active Chapter and each other.
We always welcome alumni to stop by the House. If you're interested in
planning a class reunion, please contact me about utilizing the House for
your event! We're happy to help any way we can.
