The Deke Newsletter 3 A s an undergraduate in the Gamma Phi house, Frank Sica '73 found himself short of cash due to his parent's divorce. The chapter lent him a hand by offering a cleaning job in the house. "Having a little extra money really helped me out during a difficult time," Frank said. In addition to that generous gesture, the chapter provided Frank with a welcoming group of friends. "Delta Kappa Epsilon's social activities helped me to develop interpersonal skills and have fun during a demanding period when I was majoring in biology and playing football." Because of his positive experiences at DKE, Frank is a financial supporter of the Gamma Phi house. Frank is currently a partner at the private equity firm Tailwind Capital. In addition to his current position, Frank has had a number of notable successes in the past. When he ran private equity at Soros, he approved the equity financing for JetBlue when it was just starting up. Frank is a believer in the fraternity experience and the Gamma Phi house in particular. He is supporting the chapter's lawsuit, which has the objective of keeping the house open. If successful, he plans to help in the renovation by contributing to The Sesquicentennial Campaign. A Debt of GrAtituDe for DKe Frank Sica '73 Shares His Success with Gamma Phi A t Homecoming on the first weekend in November, Wesleyan celebrated its football legacy by honoring its last undefeated team of 1969 on the 50th anniversary of that achievement along with honorees named to the all-1960s team. That event was crowned with an overtime win by the Cardinals with the score of 27-21. (See President Connor Cady's article on page 4 that includes the Deke brothers on the 2019-20 football team.) The Athletics Department hosted a dinner to honor both teams on Friday evening. Members of the undefeated 1969 team and all-1960s honorees attending Saturday's game with Williams were invited onto Andrus Field at halftime and introduced to the large Homecoming crowd. The undefeated team of 1969 garnered a number of individual and team honors, including being named the UPI New England College Division Champions and sharing the Lambert Cup with the University of Delaware as the East's top-achieving college division team. A num- ber of brothers contributed to that individually, including the late Dave Revenaugh '72, MALS '98, who was ranked sixth in New England for scoring. Other Dekes on Wesleyan's undefeated team of 1969, in addition to Dave Revenaugh, were Bob Allen '70, Jack Burns '72, Tom Dwyer '72, Greg Forbes '71, Joe Keller '71, Jim Lynch '71, Brendan Marinan '71, Mike Mastergeorge '70, Bob McKeel '72, Jack Meier '70, and Ed Tabor '72. The 1960s all-decade team was nominated and voted on by their peers. Brothers honored were: Dick Crockett '63, Kevin Dwyer '68, Pat Dwyer '67, Thomas Gulick '66, George "Jeff" Hicks '67, Oliver "Budge" Hickel '66, Mike Mastergeorge '70, Phil Rockwell '65*, MALS '73, P'11, Warren Thomas '65, and Gary Witten '65.
