Each year, the parents club and Chapter members make hundreds of waffles to serve to the Greek community to raise money for Make-A-Wish. T he women of Tau Beta have had a strong fall semester in recruitment, academics, philanthropy activities, and Homecoming. In August, we welcomed home 56 new members with open arms; our Bid Day theme was "Crushing on Chi O." Tau Beta also ranked top in grades for the 25th consecutive semester. We proudly earned an overall GPA of 3.67 last spring. In September, we hosted our annual Wish Week for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year's weeklong events included Frats at Bat and Waffles for Wishes, along with benefit nights at local restaurants. With the help of the Greek community and Tau Beta members, we proudly raised more than $25,000 this year. The women of Chi Omega and the men of Alpha Tau Omega were paired for the 2019 Homecoming celebration. We placed first in the sign competition and second in the Harvest Carnival game. In September, our executive team attended the Big 12 Greek Conference at OSU, where they bonded through leadership workshops about time management strategies and caring for members' mental health. Tau Beta members excel all throughout campus! We are proud to have had three of the five Homecoming queen attendants (Rachel Terry '17, Keely Ratcliff '17, and Adrienne Blakey '17); the Homecoming queen herself, Adrienne Blakey; eight Top 20 Freshmen; and three Top 10 Freshmen. In November, Tau Beta hosted an alumnae football tailgate before the game against TCU. We were thrilled to welcome alumnae back to their stomping grounds while showing them our appreciation for their constant support. Our alumnae and parents are what keep Chi Omega going and make Tau Beta so special. If not for the legacies and standards they left behind, Tau Beta would not be such an incredible Chapter. Thank you to those who stopped by, and we invite all alumnae to visit the Chapter House anytime you are in town. We love hearing all your Tau Beta stories.
