PAge 5 Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Gamma On the foyer wall is a watercolor of our old house, and in the west living room stands the grandfather clock from our old formal living room. In a sunroom stands the sterling candleholder that graced our fireplace mantle, and shelves hold several old trophies from days gone by. Another area of the main floor houses the room many of us spent day after day watching All My Children and General Hospital in, the anchor room. It not only has a wide screen tv, but a custom-built ping pong table decorated with the DG letters. In another area of the house is the donor wall, with the names of all the women and family members who have donated to the reestablishment of our beloved Alpha Omega to date. The upper floors hold bedrooms, sunroom areas off the porches, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. The corner bedrooms sleeps four women, and the bedrooms in between house two. The beds are all raised with drawers. The larger rooms are much like the dorm rooms of the old house except all the beds are bunk beds, decorated as we had done with all things Delta Gamma, anchors, and Razorbacks. Each floor of the living quarters has filtered water stations built into the house system. The bathrooms have private restrooms (no more communal toilets with cloth curtains) and numerous showers with each collegian assigned her own cubby, enabling them to leave their toiletries in the bathrooms. The floors each have their own laundry rooms and study halls, filled with the history of our chapter. One study hall is the Delta Beta Study Hall, named after our colonizing chapter, that became the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Gamma in 1930. The second floor study hall is decorated with memories of the women who refounded our chapter. Most impressive, each bedroom is equipped with its own thermostat, which can be adjusted independently within a fixed range—so, no more radiators or box fans. Utility usage can be monitored and adjusted remotely via computer by a member of house corporation, if needed. The house is ADA compliant with every doorway and bathroom handicaped-accessible and an elevator that operates on each floor Delta Gamma Dedication — A Weekend to Remember (Continued from page 1) (imagine moving in with an elevator to haul your trunk up to the cubbies). Prominently displayed at the bottom of the staircase is our old brass diner bell that called us unfailingly to meal after meal. And across from it hangs the old Galley sign. The kitchen is professionally equipped like a kitchen you'd see in any fine restaurant and is staffed by a professional chef. The house tours concluded in the chapter room. Members from our executive offices were introduced, and various alumnae, without whose dedication and leadership the return of our Alpha Omega would still be just a dream, were recognized. Afterward, we went to Carnall Hall for a reception, where in 2011 we first expressed our desire to return to campus with executive office. All Together Again Saturday was busy on The Hill. It was a home game complete with tailgates, WPS, and Dad's Weekend. In true "we can do it" fashion, our collegians welcomed even more Delta Gamma Alumnae were overjoyed to see the new home of AΩ as they returned to Fayetteville for the dedication.
