THE CHAPTER TODAY
"I think the renovation is important
because having a Chapter House
again gives all of the brothers a place
to be together. A great house will
improve our Brotherhood since it will
give us a sense of belonging that we
can't have anywhere else."
– Braden Davis '18, Current Sage

eta-Gamma in 2019 is still a leader at Eastern Illinois University, but
numbers across all fraternities and sororities are down compared to
the '70s, '80s, and '90s. The University has endured declining enrollment,
which certainly contributed to the drop in Greek membership, but for the
2019-20 school year, Eastern proudly reported an enrollment increase for
both undergraduates and graduate students.
In the recently released 2019 spring grade report, Beta-Gamma finished
second among all fraternities with a grade-point average of 2.82. This is
the second consecutive semester Beta-Gamma finished second.
Other Chapter accomplishments include:
• Intramural champions, upholding the proud tradition of
outstanding Beta-Gamma athletics.
• Big Man's Tug champions: the tradition continues!
• Second-largest recruitment among fraternities in 2018-19.
• 2016 Greek Week champions and Homecoming champions.
• Brothers on the Interfraternity Council and in Student
Government.
• Charitable organizations that benefit from Beta-Gamma's
community service program include St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital, Donate Life Program, and Neighborhood
Help Program.
