ur investment in Beta Upsilon will ensure a strong future
for our Chapter. College fraternities continue to play a rel-
evant
role in the lives of young men. Today, perhaps more than
ever, it is important that we provide young college men with a
small, group-living environment that offers a solid foundation for
their education, and also affords opportunities for high academic
achievement and the development of leadership and social skills.
The alumni leadership is dedicated to making the necessary prepa-
rations for our Chapter's return in 2013. Therefore, a significant
commitment by alumni to this major undertaking must be made to
allow us to renovate and modernize our Chapter facilities and to
return Beta Theta Pi to prominence as a leading fraternity at MIT.
This stage of our project requires the help of a highly selective
group of alumni including you. Remember, all of us benefited
from the generosity, work, and sacrifice of those who came before
us. We all enjoyed the comfort and fellowship provided by BQP
during our undergraduate years. Now it is our turn to repay the
Fraternity and make the true Beta experience available to others.
We urge your thoughtful consideration of this plan. With your sup-
port, BQP will once again provide a quality living environment
that supports, nurtures, and develops outstanding young men with
the skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world. The
commitment we make today cannot be underestimated—it will
have a ripple effect on the lives of our Brothers for years to come.
