Academic and Leadership Programming
Beta Theta Pi's focus will be on the development of leaders. It is
our intent to help young men develop the leadership skills neces-
sary to make an impact on campus, in their workplaces and com-
munities, and in their families. We want to give them the tools to
make a difference.
Through this commitment, a system containing weighted points
for academics, campus and fraternity involvement, house main-
tenance, and financial accountability will be implemented to eval-
uate each member. This system, with the assistance of local
alumni, will hold every member accountable for minimum stan-
dards and reward those who exemplify our core values. Addition-
ally, it is critical that we provide the Chapter with the resources to
take advantage of the educational programming opportunities on
the national level. The Keystone Conference, Leadership Acad-
emy, UIFI, Wooden Institute and President's Academy are just a
few of the leadership development programs offered by the Gen-
eral Fraternity.
As our undergraduate men begin the journey of returning Beta
Theta Pi to MIT, this is the ideal time to secure our history of lead-
ership and strong academics through the creation of $300,000 in
a scholarship and leadership endowment.
