P B F 1890 Arrow FALL 2019 MINNESOTA ALPHA U pon graduating from the University of Minnesota, we all leave ПBФ with high hopes of keeping our sisterhood close to our hearts. Unfortunately, we quickly find that many new interests — careers, families, and civic activities — can create valid diversions. The day-to-day activities of life take over and, before long, we fall out of touch and begin to wonder what happened to our sisters. Without a solid alumnae relations program in place, our members lack the means for staying connected with Minnesota Alpha at the U of M. WHAT CAN I EXPECT? With this in mind, our alumnae relations program is designed to help our members stay in touch and to cultivate awareness and involvement with the chapter. There are several elements that are key to the program's success. • We will mail two newsletters each year containing alumnae news, information on any upcoming events, reports on various chapter activities and current lists of undergraduate and/or alumnae officers. • Once a year, we will send out a biographical update that allows alumnae to update the information we have on record. In fact, many of you have received this mailing already! These updates also provide the information for one of the most popular features in the newsletters, the "Alumnae News" section. Altogether, they are a vital tool in maintaining our records and our ties with one another. • Periodically, Minnesota Alpha will send out important information via email. Make sure you're on our mailing list by filling out the biographical update form or contacting the Chapter House Corporation at mnalphachc@gmail.com. HOW CAN I FURTHER PARTICIPATE? If you have not visited us on campus, we highly encourage you to stop by 1109 Fifth St. SE. The Minnesota Alpha Chapter House Corporation (CHC) works diligently to keep our chapter house an up-to-date, safe Strengening e Bonds of Wine and Silver Blue Minnesota Alpha Launches Alumnae Relations Program environment for our undergraduate members and visiting alumnae. This is extremely important as housing competition on campus is at an all-time high. The university has renovated and rebuilt several dormitories on campus, which provide state-of-the-art living and learning spaces. Developers have built new apartments around Dinkytown and Stadium Village near campus featuring modern and luxury amenities. Additionally, many fraternities and sororities, including Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Alpha Omicron Phi, FarmHouse and Kappa Sigma, have recently completed or are in the process of major renovations or rebuilds. Our loyal CHC continues planning for our future to ensure Minnesota Alpha provides superior living accommodations at a competitive price. We hope that through the Minnesota Alpha alumnae relations program, your sisterly bonds are regularly renewed and strengthened. We are always interested in hearing from you, so if you have any suggestions, alumnae news or ideas for articles, please submit them to our alumnae relations coordinator, Hannah Carney, at hcarney@penningtonco.com. In Pi Phi, Minnesota Alpha Chapter House Corporation mnalphachc@gmail.com Minnesota Alpha makes sure to carry out our six values in our everyday lives. Want to See More of Minnesota Alpha?
