Our beloved chapter house debuted a fresh new look this fall. We installed new flooring in the chapter room, new chandeliers in the dining room, and a new remote- controlled auto screen in the chapter room for presentations and videos shown during recruitment. While there is a great deal of excitement about the additions, there are even more exciting chapter house updates in the works. We're moving forward with our five-year plan to tear down and rebuild the old suites. We've been in planning and saving mode for over three years. Keep an eye out for more details and information about this plan in future issues. If you happen to be in the Gainesville area, we hope you will stop by our beautiful chapter house and visit with the beautiful women who live in it. Loyally, Elaine Almond '96 elainealmond@yahoo.com What's Been Done and What's toCome An Update on Gamma Iota Chapter House Projects CHAPTER PRESIDENT TO POLITICAL STARDOM Kristen Soltis Anderson '02 Credits Alpha Chi Omega Experience for Career Success A SiriusXM radio host, a co-founder of the polling and research firm Echelon Insights, a columnist for The Washington Examiner, a 2013 TIME 30 People Under 30 Changing the World, and the list continues for Kristen Soltis Anderson '02. She may be running her own company and speaking with Bill Maher on the latest polling trends, but she hasn't lost sight of her beginnings at Alpha Chi Omega. "I joined Alpha Chi Omega because I wanted to meet women who were involved on campus, but of course I soon discovered it was so much more than that! I stayed because I loved the women I met, especially my big," Kristen said. When Kristen left high school, she was laser-focused on graduating fast and getting a job in politics. However, where she learned the most wasn't in the classroom. It was in Alpha Chi Omega. By joining Gamma Iota and becoming president, Kristen developed in ways she never expected.
