They also installed a '5 Fraternity Row' bronze address plate on a wall in the atrium. Alumni News Edward "Ted" Furber '52 is retired and works with several county medical committees, visits local museums, and attends symphony concerts. Nearly two years ago, the death of Ted's wife, Genie, due to cancer brought an abrupt halt to his life, but his friends and Genie's relatives provide him great support. Ted resides in Fort Worth, Texas. Email: eself@swbell.net William "Frank" Wilhite '57 worked for Exxon in Texas for many years. He later moved to California to work for Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he developed a micro-gas chromatograph to analyze soil samples from the moon and mars. In 1979, Frank left JPL to start Wilhite Instruments where he retired in 1999. He lives in Pomona, Calif. Email: fwilhite@ frontier.com John Agno '62 lives in Ann Arbor, Mich., and engages in personal coaching conversations, giving CEOs the refreshing opportunity to be open and creative in a confidential, safe place. Email: johnagno@gmail.com Bruce Irvine '64 and his wife, Michelle, retired to Napa, Calif., in 2010 from the Santa Cruz Mountains to avoid the fire danger after the 2014 6.0 earthquake and the 2017 wildfires. They are trying to get back to retired life. Things are returning to the new normal with the threat of wildfires constant for nine months of the year. Email: thenapairvines@gmail.com V. John Brook Jr. '68 retired in 2016 and began working on his final two bankruptcy cases, which turned out to be difficult, causing him to spend more time in North Carolina. When John and his wife, Christine, are in St. Petersburg, Fla., they spend time with their five grandchildren. Email: vjohn@tampabay.rr.com Alumni Update (Continued from page 5) Robert MacLaren II '69 lives in Boca Raton, Fla., and has been blessed with three grandchildren with a fourth due in February 2020. David Haines '71 lives in Tiburon, Calif., and is a private equity investor in early-stage companies in the healthcare industry with Companion Health Technologies. His passion is helping senior citizens find their place living at home with technology that helps them monitor their health conditions. Additionally, he retired after 40 years in refractory and ceramic materials and now operates a small business in rock decor items called Glacial Impressions. Email: kselkregg@aol.com David Bienvenue '89 serves as the deputy public works officer with Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Djibouti, Africa, and he will join his wife again in San Diego when he's finished. David's daughter is now married, and his son is starting at Sonoma State University which, unfortunately, has no SigEp chapter.
