Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi 3 Why did you choose Alpha Phi? I knew right away that I would be able to find lifelong friends by becoming a member of Omicron Chapter. What are your favorite memories from your time in the chapter house? I remember sitting in the TV room on the first floor and watching L.A. Law. I really enjoyed it both as a new member and as an older sister. • Formals, of course, were also a lot of fun. • I can't forget the annual hayride, which was always a blast. Another favorite was burgers at Booches Billiard Hall or the sandwiches from the Sub Shop. Tell me about your involvement with the chapter. I am the alumnae engagement chairman for the HCB. Why did you choose Alpha Pi? The sisterhood that Alpha Phi showed me was amazing and I knew that I wanted to be a part of that. What are your favorite memories from your time in the chapter house? My time living in the annex first semester of my junior year. I lived on the second floor with Sara Bryan '09, who is still one of my best friends today. All of us living on the second floor of the annex got along great and spent most of our nights watching TV on the big, comfy couch. This was also the year I got the nickname "Lola" from Tori Stepanek '10, who I became very good friends with. Mizzou's 100th Homecoming. I was the vice president of campus relations at the time and oversaw Alpha Phi's involvement in Homecoming. Our Homecoming partners were Sigma Nu and Sigma Phi Epsilon. I made some of the best friends I could ever ask for. I am still friends with Sigma Nus that I met that year. In fact, two of them are my roommates. Sisterhood retreat our freshman year. We went on a trip to Kansas City and were assigned roommates. This is when I met Kayla Alewel '09. To this day she is still one of my best friends. Top 3 Alpha Phi Events • Senior retreat in Nashville. I don't think I have ever laughed that hard. One of my favorite memories from this trip is the drive home with Kayla, Jenny Babka '09 and Morgan Franklin '09. We were trying to pass the time and decided to play an old- fashioned game of 20 questions. We ended up laughing so hard we cried. • Hayride every year was always a fun time. • Mom's Weekend my senior year. Ending the night at Piano Bar singing "Don't Stop Believing" with Kayla, Jenny, their moms, and my mom is one of my favorite memories.
