T he Alpha Sigma alumni and undergraduate leadership has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the eta Xi experience on the Bradley University campus. rough careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that increasing available funds at the eta Xi Foundation will provide scholarships to allow members to take part in membership at a reduced cost and provide necessary updates to the chapter house. eta Xi must invest in our members and our home to meet the needs of today's students. Working with the eta Xi Foundation, the Alpha Sigma Association has developed a tactical approach to our future. OUr viSiOn n Raise $2 million for our scholarship account at eta Xi Foundation. • Make eta Xi membership free to our members with good grades living in the chapter house. - With these stipulations, the goal will be to drive recruitment numbers with reduced costs, increase live-in membership numbers with free/reduced housing, and drive academic achievement with financial incentives. • Under the 5% payout rule, provide $100,000 in scholarships to tenants with good grades 5 n Borrow from our scholarship fund 25% of the amount raised, $500,000 if we hit our goal, to do property updates. Our building will need several property repairs over the next 3-5 years. While we are on a great track to be able to pay for those with rental income, it will not leave enough room for improvements to make the house attractive to the incoming students. • Priorities: e kitchen, remaining two A/C units, four furnaces, roof, and maintain reserves for emergency projects. prOjeCt highlightS "Originally, I didn't want to join a fraternity. I had nothing against them; it just never was something that piqued my interest. But then I met a few members at a welcome week event and started to become good friends with them. So, my original intention of joining eta Xi was to make a whole bunch of good friends. en it evolved into wanting to be a part of something bigger than myself and to make an impact on an organization that was small at the time, but that I knew had great potential to grow." – Reid Chapman '20, Blue Iris, Gleespen, Two-time Janus Scholarship recipient, marketing and music dual major "eta Xi has really opened up a lot of connections I never had before and has allowed me to meet and interact with people from all walks of life. It has also led to experiences that I believe have allowed me to grow as a person and will no doubt help me in my future endeavors." – Chase Hoge '21, Gleespen Scholarship recipient spring 2019, marketing and sports communication dual major
