UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA A s you read on page 1, Delta Alpha was thrilled to cultivate one of the largest new member classes on campus this fall. We plan to host multiple mixers with Alpha Phi, our Homecoming partners, and other sororities on campus. The first tailgate of the year will be the weekend of September 28 for the OU/Texas Tech game; this is also Dad's Weekend, so we hope to see you and your children at the Shelter! As you can see, we have lots of fall events planned, and we always enjoy seeing alumni come home. A member fulfills his Oath by being committed to living a life of excellence; that is not a saying we take likely at Delta Alpha. Last year, we saw more than 25 seniors graduate in May, some of whom pursued a graduate degree either at OU or elsewhere. We are excited to see the excellence that these seniors achieve in the coming years and are grateful for their impact on our legacy. The JDRF OneWalk in Oklahoma City is on April 18, 2020. Earlier this year, we broke the Western Plain's Division record once again, raising more than $25,000. We cannot wait to break that record once again; our goal is to raise more than $30,000 in the fight against Type 1 diabetes. We are also planning a Career Day at the Shelter for brothers of all ages. Alumni will speak to actives about their respective professions and help pave career paths. This will take place sometime in the spring, and we would love to have as many alumni as possible come and network with younger members. If interested, please contact Paul Kelley '20 at (405) 474-9701. Lastly, I want to thank all the alumni who have helped rebuild this great chapter. Having signed 53 new members, once initiated we will have 180 actives. This is a huge step from January 2017, when we had only 70 active members. Without your support, Delta Alpha would be in a very different spot. We cannot wait to see what the future holds; it's a great day to be a Delt.
