F
rom the moment we moved back into the brand-new, renovated,
extravagant 808, we have been over the moon. We are all so
amazed at our sweet 808 and feel blessed to have such a beautiful home
away from home here in Columbia. We held an amazing, productive
work week with many sisterhood events. In one of these, we painted
succulent pots, jammed to music, and ate snacks on our brand-new
back patio.
Recruitment came and went all too fast, and we now have an amazing
new member class with 83 members, which will only grow as we
participate in informal recruitment. This couldn't have been done without
our true and constant alumnae who came to assist us during these two
weeks. Whatever we needed, we always had someone there to lean on.
We especially thank Shelley Roither '85 for her mouth-watering homemade
cookies and skillful home décor assistance during late evenings of
recruitment prep. Stacey Nentwig '89, we couldn't have made it through
without your surprise trivia break during voting nights, along with 184
insomnia cookies. Our seniors appreciated having Angie Sonnenschein '06
attend Bid Day with us and take all the photos in the world.
Our chapter cannot wait until the new 808 is finished, and we will
continue to celebrate our growth in the meantime and utilize every new
square footage of our home to expand and deepen our sisterhood.
