3 GAMMA PSI OF BETA THETA PI L ast spring was an exciting semester for the Gamma Psi Chapter. Our chapter excelled in all areas: recruitment, alumni relations, and intramural sports. Collectively, the Gamma Psi Chapter earned a 3.1 GPA, which was above the undergraduate all-men's average and the IFC average. Some of our most notable accomplishments were spring recruitment and new member education. Not only did our chapter recruit 12 excellent men, but with the guidance of New Member Educator Chad Parker '20, our chapter had 100 percent new member retention. I'm very proud to say that this is the first time we have achieved total new member retention since our refounding. Chad was committed to making the new member process personal and meaningful to set a foundation of new member retention for years to come. "Not only did I reach out to these new guys on a personal basis, but I really encouraged every brother in the chapter to show them what it means to be a Beta," Chad explained. I think this is a shining ex- ample of the desire for excellence our chapter embodies and we're extremely proud of all of his work. Additionally, our chapter sent three new members to Oxford for the famed Wooden Institute, where they met with other Betas across the United States. Overall, the Gamma Psi Chapter has been on an upward trajectory toward excellence which we plan to continue this fall. We are excited for this school year and getting back to business as usual. Look for an email update soon regarding our annual Beta Beach Day philanthropic event planned for early this fall. Serving as Presi- dent has been one of the best experiences I have ever had, and I cannot wait to pick up where we left off!
