Your participation is vital to the future success of our fraternity. With your support, Tau Beta will continue to provide a premier living environment for future generations. Dear Chi Omega Sisters, Our beautiful house at 310 S. Monroe has stood long and proud for 92 years. To date, she has seen more than 3,100 members initiated. My name is Amy Mitchell. In 1980, I was initiated as a member of Chi Omega with 39 sisters at our beloved house. We can all be proud; Tau Beta Chapter is a strong, well organized and represented Chapter of our fraternity. Several years ago, I was involved silently with many of you to accomplish a partial remodel of our beautiful house. While this was seriously needed, we all knew it was a band-aid treating a terminal condition. I am not disappointed in the financial investment that was made 10 years ago; it has served our sisterhood well. We are now facing a time in the life of our Chapter to step forward and make preparations for a new structure. The House Corporation members can testify that we spend a huge amount of resources annually in a process that might be categorized as "end-of-life care" at ICU prices. The right people are in place to plan and implement this project. Women of Chi Omega had a vision and plan in 1928 to build our house; we now need to come together and build a beautiful, modern, and efficient home for our Chapter in the near future. I have been asked to serve as the Honorary Chair for this building committee. I will be authorizing a financial commitment of my own toward this project. I am asking for you to do the same. It is very important for the future of our Chapter that we receive the financial backing of the membership early and strong. The House Corporation and the building committee will be working together to put in place a beautiful new facility to meet the needs of our Chapter. Please consider and prepare your commitment to this project. Don't hesitate; it's time, and we need to hear from you.
