TAU BETA CHAPTER | PAGE 3 I f you have been on campus lately, you may have noticed new construction, renovations and additions to fraternity and sorority housing. These new or renovated homes offer enlarged gathering spaces and common areas that respond to the growth in membership and keep up with the today's student housing expectations. Additionally, OSU continues to build state-of-the-art dormitories that are significantly upgraded from the dorm rooms of long ago. Faced with competition for modern student housing, and recognizing the demand for better living conditions, private landlords are also building more sophisticated apartment options on and off campus. Building for Tomorrow Women who encouraged me to pledge Chi Omega and women who have supported me since that me have inspired me to be more than I imagined possible. While I learned of the integrity, spirit, and strength epitomized in the Symphony as a pledge and as an ac ve while at OSU, I have come to appreciate those words even more fully as an adult. Truly, the Symphony is a guiding light for a life to be well-lived. I am grateful for the life lessons, the friendships, the love and support that were—and remain—a loving part of the sisterhood of Chi Omega. Our beau ful house at 310 S. Monroe holds many wonderful memories for us. My own father—an architect—did his best to expand and hold the house together for as long as possible. However, there comes a me (he said) when a building can no longer be repaired. The costs of the repairs and maintenance become foreboding. And, my dear sisters, that is what has happened to our house. The me has come for us to put our love and our care into the future—and into the building of a new home for our future sisters and to the preserva on of Tau Beta. The ladies of Tau Beta are stellar and are carrying on a fantas c tradi on of excellence. Let's help them by providing our financial support for the construc on of a new home that will serve Tau Beta for another 100 years. Your large or small gi s will be appreciated. If each of us makes a dona on, we can DO THIS! With this commitment, we will be epitomizing the words of the Symphony, 'to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of high purpose and helpfulness.' – Cathy Ebert Jameson, Ph.D. '68, Campaign Co-Chairman The competition is outpacing us: In order for Chi Omega to recruit the best possible members to our sisterhood, our house must be compe ve. Student housing is changing around us, and we need to look forward before we fall behind.
