Seventy to seventy-five percent of the newsletter should focus on alumnae content. The biographical update is a useful tool not only to update contact information, but to also gather constituent news. This demonstrates that the chapter values its alumnae, their involvement, and their input. As of July 15, 2019, the undergraduate chapter operates the chapter website (www.missouri.tridelta.org), which includes content aimed primarily toward potential new members. The chapter maintains a Facebook page with 1,411 likes (facebook.com/mizzoutridelta), and Instagram account with 4,029 followers (instagram.com/mizzoutridelta) and a Twitter account with 1,763 followers (twitter.com/mizzoutridelta). Online resources are important places for active and alumnae members to obtain news. It is important that these sites are kept up to date so alumnae may easily find electronic communication from the chapter. A concerted effort should be made to ensure the website and social media outlets are updated regularly and promoted throughout the alumnae base as a current source of information. And while it is not recommended to replace the paper version of a newsletter with entirely web-based communication, many alumnae are interested in receiving news and information about the chapter and fellow alumnae via the website or periodic email updates. Events have previously been planned around Founders Day in November and the Pansy Breakfast in May. However, many alumnae commented that they have not been back to the chapter house in many years. A proper alumnae relations program should include a written calendar of alumnae "friendraising" events; university social and athletic activities are possible additions to sorority events. Events held in areas with high alumnae concentrations such as Kansas City and St. Louis are also recommended. Each event should be properly announced in newsletters and online, with personal invitations sent to alumnae, previous attendees, and distinguished guests six to eight weeks prior to the events.
