DELTA PSI NEWS 2 in "The Chappy Ferry Book," considered to be a definitive recent publication about Chappaquiddick Island near Martha's Vineyard. Her work has been featured during the season at the Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown, Mass., and she was on the board of the Martha's Vineyard Art Association. Locally, Delta Psi dedicated the new study room in her sister's name. Janis was a devoted Delta Psi alumna and she will be greatly missed. Outstanding Members, Strong Sisterhood T his past semester was a very exciting one for the Delta Psi Chapter! From welcoming in our new members through initiation to philanthropy and sisterhood events and everything in between, the bonds within the Delta Psi Chapter remain strong. The spring has been full of events for our chapter! Earlier in February, we hosted Kappa Mom's Weekend, where a brunch was hosted to celebrate the amazing women who have influenced and impacted the members of our chapter. We have also had multiple sisterhood events that have continued to bring us closer as a chapter throughout the semester. This semester we held our big philanthropy event, Kappa Klassic. This is a golf tournament during our Dad's Weekend where members ask their family and friends to join us in playing in the golf tournament. This year we raised over $22,000 for Children's Miracle Network, which is our local philanthropy. Throughout the semester, members of our chapter visit a local elementary school, where we help with an afterschool program to promote the importance of reading. We are so thankful to be able to give back to our community! One thing our chapter loves is our sisterhood, and it has been so special to see that bond continue to grow! The new chapter council has been focusing on ways to increase morale and it has shown in the way our women love and support one another. We are sad to have to say goodbye to our seniors, but we are so excited to see all that they accomplish. As the semester comes to an end, we are excited to gather back together for recruitment. As we prepare for the excitement of welcoming more members into our incredible chapter, we are reminded of our core values and what our chapter is all about. This is such a special time for our chapter and we are so excited for what is to come! We would like to thank all our outstanding alumnae for their constant encouragement and support. We would not be the chapter we are today if it were not for the love we receive from each of you! If you ever find yourself in Lubbock, please visit our Lodge on Greek Circle anytime; we would love to show you around! Our chapter council and active members are very thankful to have such a beautiful place to call home!
