Founders' Day Memories Overflow
A
huge THANK YOU goes to all alumnae and active
collegiate members who came out to celebrate our
70th Founders' Day in November 2018. It was such an
honor to be able to celebrate with one of our sisters,
Mary Louise Kull Hopkins '48, who was there at the
beginning of Beta Sigma's founding.
The day was celebrated with a beautiful brunch, a
silent auction, trivia games, and lots of small group
conversations. It was nice getting to know sisters
from other pledge classes. After brunch we enjoyed
a program set up by our active collegiate sister, Holly
Bollock '16, and her committee. The collegiates
did a wonderful job of revisiting our founding
sisters' history and then the floor was opened up to
share special memories of our personal times at the
chapter house. This wonderful day proved that lasting
sisterhood thrives! It is amazing to witness that even
after years apart, reuniting feels like you were never
gone—that is true sisterhood. After sharing memories
with one another, we celebrated the different pledge
classes and took photos. What a blessing to be able to
come celebrate such a monumental year. Thank you
again for all who helped make this day happen and for
those sisters who came out to celebrate.
