When Casey learned of the Naval Aviation College Program, he immediately enrolled in 1947 to become a Naval Aviation Cadet. Casey was soon commissioned an ensign and became a co-pilot in a seaplane squadron, VP-47. He earned many medals for his bravery and service. Following retirement in 1976, Casey returned to Coronado and immediately became involved in local organizations. He was most proud of his work at the Air and Space Museum in San Diego and was a member of Phoenix Flight. Casey is survived of his wife of 67 years, Betty, and children, Nancy Reynolds, Pam Zwillinger, and Jeff (Pam) Reynolds. Julian Michael "Mike" Murrin '59, after a brief illness, entered Chapter Eternal peacefully surrounded by his family on June 8, 2018, in Jupiter, Fla. He is lovingly remembered by countless friends located across the multiple states in which he resided. Mike received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Following his career with FMC Corporation, he worked with and traveled the world for Mobile Oil in various senior positions for 18 years. He retired in 1996 to Mount Pleasant, S.C. Mike was an avid golfer, runner, and dedicated to his faith and membership in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church. He was actively involved with the development of the City of Mount Pleasant and his Dunes West neighborhood.
