FarmHouse Almanac p . 3 W e have had an exciting time here at WSU FarmHouse these past few months. We've seen the house grow as members set new standards for their roles and for themselves as men. From engaging with the community to taking on the cold winter with high spirits, we have strived to progress and be "Builders of Men." In fall 2018, our chapter welcomed two fantastic gentlemen, Devin Lucas '18 and Christopher Watt '18, both of whom have since taken on executive positions. roughout the semester, our chapter hosted a country cookout to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and supported the community by volunteering at Orphan Acres as well as the WSU Organic Farm. rough our efforts, we won five awards at the Arete Awards, including an individual award to Nicholas English '17 for Community Builder of the Year. We were also fortunate enough to have Eric Hausken '98 fix and hoist our flagpole. From gaming recruitment events to our always popular SkateDash, there's hardly been a dull moment this semester. As winter set in over the past couple months, our members found ways to improve both our community and our brotherhood. We not only built snow forts on our front yard, but we also shoveled sidewalks in front of sorority houses. Internally, our executive team has been making strides to set new goals for their positions. Our director of house operations (DOHO), Brayden Jacobs '18, has done a fantastic job at keeping the house looking and functioning wonderfully. He's given our chapter room a fresh look and keeps everything clean and tidy with thorough crews. Jack Wharton '18, our vice president of scholarship, has sparked a fantastic new twist on keeping up with academics by implementing the "Good Noodle Board," a system that rewards academic excellence with stars on a brand-new whiteboard. It's gotten our members excited to compete to be the "Goodest Noodle" of the month. We look forward to how the rest of the semester will unfold and continue to seek the best in our chosen lines of study, as well as in life. ank you to our alumni and parents who continuously dedicate their time, energy, and support to seeing us succeed!
