Our strong involvement and participation in the Greek life community has allowed us to be very successful in philanthropic endeavors. Since the start of this year we have participated in five philanthropies. e men of Lambda Chi Alpha raised the most money at Sigma Kappa Spaghetti Night, Kappa Delta CARDV Drive, and at the events during Alpha Chi Omega's Healthy Relationships Week. e chapter was the runner-up for Tri Delta's Delta Dunks, helping to raise $7,000. Finally, to start spring term, we took second place in Kappa Delta's Mock Rock, one of the highest profile student participation events within the Greek community and the OSU campus. e competition includes raising money, as well as having a team compete in the Mock Rock dance contest in Gill Coliseum. In addition, brother Brendan Quinn '17-1956 was selected as Kappa Delta's Sweetheart, Man of the Dagger, for best exemplifying their chapter values! In our winter philanthropy, Can You Dash, members went door-to-door, asking for donations for Community Outreach Inc. We raised $600 that created 10,000 meals for the Corvallis community, and collected many bags of clothing donations. Along with making a positive impact on the city of Corvallis and working with fellow Greek organizations to benefit good causes, Alpha Lambda also has members involved in several Oregon State organizations, such as Interfraternity Council, ASOSU Student Government, Student Health Advisory Board, and Korean Student Association. For the second year in a row we will be participating in spring recruitment. We are ready to welcome a new group of members to be a part of an exciting future for our chapter.
