4th Friday is an Exciting Time Downtown August - Dog Days of Summer September - International Downtown Celebration October - Zombie Walk For more information on 4th Friday, contact Amanda Klinck, 4th Friday Event Coordinator, at 4thfriday@faydta.org. 4th Friday, a monthly celebration of the arts, music and all things downtown, is well underway this year with big plans for 2013. Most familiar with the event look forward to it every month and those new to the area fall in love with downtown while watching performers on every corner and walking into shops and restaurants with even more art demonstrations and music. This year is no exception. The Downtown Alliance, which sponsors 4th Friday, is continuing with the ever popular themes from last year and adding new themes, as well. Alongside the established art, music, food and fun that most have come to expect, there will be other features to look forward to in the coming months. And while the Downtown Alliance is hard at work, the Arts Council is, too. Just a hop, skip and a jump away at 301 Hay St., the Arts Council hosts a new visual arts exhibit every 4th Friday with various guests and live programming. 4th Friday has something for everyone, whether you are an avid art enthusiast, a people watcher, a shopper or a bit of all. Explore art, shop in our cute shops, have dinner in one of our fabulous restaurants or come to see old friends and meet new ones. Downtown is the place to be every 4th Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., so dont miss it! For more information on this event and more, visit www.visitdowntownfayetteville.com. How Much Do You Know About Downtown Fayetteville? See if you know the answer to this trivia question: Name one development downtown in the last 10 years that was not in the 2002 Renaissance Plan, but changed the landscape of downtown. Although the ice cancelled the February Mardi Gras event, hopefully the weather will improve and the fun will continue each month through October, with November reserved for a Fayetteville favorite: A Dickens Holiday, and December for Christmas.
