The Needs of Mississippi Beta
W
hile the Pi Phi experience is more than the physical
structure of the chapter house, our home undoubtedly
plays a significant role in the development of our sisters and is a
proud symbol of our shared values and goals.
Built in 1964, with several renovations over the years, 642 Rebel
Drive has been a part of Mississippi Beta's legacy since our early
years. However, it has become clear we must make a major
investment in our chapter house if we are to remain competitive,
provide a quality living environment, and promote a strong
sisterhood.
MAINTAINING 642 REBEL DRIVE
In 2006, the House Corporation embarked on a major renovation
to our chapter house to meet the needs of our members. Since
then, recent renovation projects have included new furniture
and décor in living rooms; new furniture in the upstairs study
room; new interior paint; renovated beverage room; renovated
chapter office; and new floors in downstairs lounges. However,
maintaining the aging systems of a 55-year-old home requires
increasingly expensive investments.
