2 Pride in Our Past, Building Our Legacy GRIT AND GRACE Why Amy Cook Fisher '97 Contributes to Alpha Omicron A s an only child, Amy Cook Fisher '97 found a large extended family when she pledged Alpha Delta Pi. The friendships along with the valuable life and career skills she gained, inspired her to contribute to the capital campaign and support current and future sisters. "It taught me how to work in a team, be creative with limited budgets, and to have grit and grace. I thank God every day for my time in the chapter and the friendships I had," Amy said. "Being part of the campaign was a way for me to give back and help others have the same experience. I encourage everyone to donate time, energy, and money in any way they can." STAYING CONNECTED TO ADPI Amy's involvement with Alpha Delta Pi did not end upon graduation; she remains close with many of her sisters. "I love all the memories that we have made together and the fun stories we can share when we get together." Amy served as Recruitment Advisor for two years after graduating, followed by Finance Advisor until 2012. She also helped colonize the Theta Xi Chapter at the University of Central Oklahoma. LEARNING VALUABLE SKILLS After graduating with a degree in accounting, Amy began her career at Paycom, a payroll data service, where she is currently the director of new client setup. She works at the corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City and runs a 250-member department that trains new customers on the system and best practices in Human Capital Management. Amy credits her time as Chapter Treasurer and other ADPi leadership opportunities with benefiting her career path. "I learned what true friendship was in Alpha Delta Pi," Amy said. "We supported, encouraged, and were true to each other. I hope future sisters have the same great experience and create their own lifelong friendships."
