Sometimes it feels like we are moving so quickly through all our Chapter events, so it is nice to reflect on all of our accomplishments in the past few months. We started off the semester by bringing home 10 new Alphas with a disco-themed Bid Day. They enjoyed their Alpha member education sessions and were then initiated in March. These 10 women have already made a lasting impact on our Chapter, and we cannot wait to see the amazing things they accomplish in the future! WELCOMING NEW LEADERS Chapter elections were held in November, and Alpha Omicron welcomed in a new leadership team that will prepare the Chapter members for a year outside of our beloved 1309 W. University. We also participated in Varsity Revue with the women of Delta Delta Delta and brought home the awards for best costumes and viewer's choice. We are so excited to be paired with the men of Delta Tau Delta for Homecoming 2019! STRENGTHENING OUR BONDS We all had so much fun with our loved ones during our annual Mom's Day party! We celebrated our fantastic moms with food, music, polaroid pictures, and a lovely silent auction that was organized by the Parent's Club. We wrapped up Mom's Day weekend by watching our amazing Spring Sing cast perform their Girl Scout-themed show with the men of Kappa Sigma, which brought home the award for best costumes. JOIN US THIS FALL! As we look forward to formal recruitment, we are excited to welcome alumnae sisters to the Wesley Center for a tea and mock recruitment party. Our Chapter is proud to have such supportive Pi sisters, and we cannot wait to thank you all in person on August 10! As Alpha Omicron sisters, we share a special form of sisterhood. We are looking forward to the coming years of developing not only our new Chapter home, but also our sisterhood, philanthropy, scholarship, and recruitment efforts. We are endlessly grateful for the unwavering dedication and support from alumnae sisters and look forward to seeing you all soon! Those deserving women are: Did You Know? As a reminder to ALL who donate to OSU, there is always an option for the donor to designate WHICH fund they want their money to go to. Because Alpha Delta Pi-AO Chapter has an Endowed Scholarship with the OSU Foundation, any donor may designate that all or a part of their donation to the OSU Foundation go towards AO's Scholarship Fund. Donors will still get the tax-deductible benefit, still get credit for donating to OSU, AND donors can help ADPi-AO Chapter by contributing to our scholarship fund. In addition, our endowment qualifies for additional funding through the Boone T. Pickens Scholarship Match program giving us the ability to make an even greater impact on the lives of our sisters.
