Chi Zetagram
6
A
s the High Alpha of the Chi Zeta Chapter, it is my honor
to report that we are making great strides toward bettering
our brotherhood and changing the culture of our chapter.
In the first three months of my presidency, I have seen nothing
but passion and drive from the newly elected High Zeta, and I
can confidently say that we are operating at our highest standard
in recent years. e current High Zeta understands that they have
come into office at a pivotal point in Chi Zeta history, and they
recognize the potential that we have as a chapter. We are taking
every opportunity to progress our chapter with the utmost confi-
dence and passion.
e brothers recognize how special and unique Chi Zeta is, and
actively work to promote a positive image and live up to the ex-
pectations of this great chapter. We are returning to our roots of
philanthropy and service, recently working on our canned food
drive, achieving a total donation of $4,000 and 400 pounds of food
to benefit the Eastern Illinois Food Bank and the people of our
community. We have also logged more than 400 community ser-
vice hours this semester alone.
We are making great progress on perfecting our ritual exempli-
fication and emphasizing it as the one powerful thing that bonds
all of us brothers together. Lastly, we are taking a more proactive
approach to risk management and doing away with the risky be-
havior that has put our chapter in jeopardy in the past.
We are the positive influence that a brotherhood should be and
are constantly pushing each other to grow as individuals. Chi Zeta
has a special place in our hearts, as it does in yours. We intend to
perform second to none, and I am proud to say that we will not let
anything stand in the way of us restoring Chi Zeta to the highly
regarded chapter it once was, and deserves to be.
Please make plans now to join us at Homecoming on October 19
and talk with us in person. We want to meet our alumni broth-
ers, hear your stories, and show you our excitement to be Lambda
Chis at Illinois.
