Page 4 SigEp Gator Heart F or the sixth consecutive semester Florida Alpha has maintained the highest GPA among fraternities at UF with a 3.475 average. This ac- colade exemplifies our commitment to providing a balanced Frater- nity experience for our brothers. This Chapter-wide effort is truly remark- able and it is our expectation that we continue this tradition. Thanks to the outstanding efforts from VP of Recruitment Cooper Covi- ello '21 and his committee, we have reached the 120 active brother count. The committee held a 10-hour information and house tour session on the Sunday before formal recruitment week that sparked significant interest in SigEp. An impressive 16 new brothers accepted bids during the following week. By utilizing an efficient 365 recruitment process, we are now at 21 new brothers with our sights set on 25 by the end of the semester. Our gorgeous house and strong brotherhood were showcased at this year's Sigma BBQ. We worked with Sigma Chi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon to put on the event that raised $3,000 for Family Promise of Gainesville. Greek House chefs generously provided delicious food that managed to feed sev- eral hundred guests. Florida Alpha sent a record 19 brothers to the Carlson Leadership Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. We were awarded the Excelsior Cup for our commit- ment to the BMP and our strides in Member Development. VP of Member Development Scott Gann '21 was selected as a Tragos Quest to Greece Scholar. We look forward to hearing about his transformative experience. Additionally, Brother Jon Katz '19 won the Zollinger Outstanding Senior award. Our Chapter would not be where it is without him. With a spring semester packed with brotherhood trips and community ser- vice events it is easy to get caught up in the day to day. However, our Chapter is focused on a major goal: winning a Buchanan Cup at this year's Conclave. This award would epitomize the virtue of our efforts since re- turning to UF. Luis Fernandez '19 has been diligently leading a commit- tee to complete the 50-page application. I offer a sincere thank-you to every alumnus that has contributed to where our Chapter is today and to every brother for continuously making this Fraternity different. It is our hope to raise a Buc Cup in Houston this sum- mer for all of you.
