CHAPTER ETERNAL James E. Clayton '51 entered Chapter Eternal on June 25, 2018, at age 90. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nicky; daughter, Joye; sons James and John; grandchildren Christian, James III, Shelby, Sean, Colin, and Diana; great-grandchild, Emeline; as well as numerous friends and family. Jim enjoyed spending time traveling with his wife, golfing and so- cializing with his buddies, and generally doing anything with his children, grandchildren, their friends, and most recently, spending time with his great-grandchild. Jim mentored and influenced many young lawyers over the years. He was also beloved by so many and known by more than just his family as "Grandpa Jim" thanks to several generations that found "the farm" as their second home. His impact will be far reaching beyond our years. He was an avid reader, historian, and writer for The Record. ALUMNI NEWS William R. Minor II '91 was elected as a county commissioner for Leon County. He is also CEO of Second Harvest of the Big Bend, which is the regional food bank for the Big Bend and distributes nearly 10 million pounds of food to people in need. He and his wife, Jessica, live in Tallahas- see, Fla., with their two daughters. Bill has been in the pharmaceuti- cal industry for 20 years now. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Kara, who is a Tennessee grad (also anti-Gators). Scott Russell '96 completed a doctoral degree after retiring from sworn law enforcement, in which he spent 18 years as a detective and hostage negotiator. Robert now works for think tanks and private firms in Washing- ton, D.C., and as a law enforcement researcher and subject matter expert. Todd M. Thompson '98 moved to Washington, D.C., in 2009 from Or- lando and he lives near Old Town Alexandria. He works at a higher ed publication company as a director of sales/marketing and also the VP of the UF Alumni Chapter. Alec M. Silverman '17 works as a sales development representative for 24/7 Software in Coral Springs, Fla. He helps the world's greatest properties be- come proactive in all operational matters.
