o start the spring semester, our chapter celebrated the 149th Founders
Day by inviting alumnae back to the facility for brunch and a ceremo-
ny. Later that evening, we held an event for spring recruitment and
extended bids to 13 new members shortly thereafter.
On February 16, we held our philanthropy dinner and tournament to raise
funds and awareness for Heart of Missouri CASA and the Kappa Alpha
Theta Foundation. Our dinner for CASA Carnival featured corn dogs, piz-
za, popcorn, cotton candy, cookies, and other carnival-themed treats. We
even had members making balloon animals and providing face painting!
For the second year, we held a Capture the Kite tournament, in which six
teams participated.
This spring we participated in Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis, a cam-
pus event in which student organizations, including Greek chapters, com-
pete in various events such as a 5K, dance competition, and trivia night to
raise money and awareness for the MS Institute. Additionally, we partici-
pated in Greek Week alongside the men of Alpha Tau Omega.
