A big glass of lemonade on a warm summer day is a refresh-
ing treat. Some of the best lemonade could be close by, in
your own neighborhood! Some kids sell it from a stand in their
yard, and you can too.
Lots of business owners got their start with a lemonade
stand. And a lemonade stand is a great way to make some
extra money, get to know your neighbors and hang out with
your friends without leaving your yard.
If you want to make and sell lemonade, you can do it with
just a table and sign in your driveway. Some kids get help from
their adult and build a big stand, but you don't need a big fan-
cy stand right away. Try to start small and see if it's something
you like to do.
As you sell, be sure to save some of the money for more
lemons and sugar. If you like selling and you have lots of people
buying your lemonade, you can use the money you make from
your sales and have an adult help you build a bigger stand.
