IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY PAGE 3 Some of Peter's best moments of his life occurred when he was an undergraduate at the Iowa State. Peter met his wife, Denise, who was an ATΩ Little Sister, in 1978 and married her seven years later. Peter will also never forget the trip that his pledge class made to Lincoln, Nebraska, to see the Cyclones knock off the Cornhuskers for the first time in many years. He encourages his fellow ATΩ brothers to remember their fond memories of Gamma Upsilon and give back to the chapter. "As the saying goes…Just Do It! And remember, any contribution is better than no contribution. The first time is the hardest, but without the contributions we make, ATΩ would not be able to achieve what we have today," Peter said. "I remember the 'old house' and although it was sad to see it no more, because of the contributions, the Gamma Upsilon Chapter and house is much better and definitely stronger." You can connect with Peter at pmstrub@transystems.com. GAMMA UPSILON STAYS ACTIVE WITH ACADEMICS, SOCIAL EVENT SCHEDULE T his spring semester has proven to be as busy as we imagined. The men have been hard at work with both school and chapter activities. Midterms are in full swing and the scholarship room is packed at all hours of the day. On top of that, we have a full schedule of events running all the way to the end of the year. Events began the weekend of February 23 when all the newly activated members of the fall 2018 pledge class drove to Minneapolis for the Emerging Leaders Conference. The new men of the house were able to learn valuable leadership skills and meet other ATΩs from around the Midwest. On the weekend of March 8-9, we hosted our mothers for an amaz- ing Mom's Weekend event put on by Chris Diagula '17 and Alex Jennrich '16. A spa day and brunch at Reiman Gardens was just what everyone needed. The weekend of March 30 featured a fantastic ATΩ formal, followed by Greek Olympics and Lip Sync on April 7 and Greek Visit Weekend April 12-14. The conclusion of these events brings the school year almost to a close with finals beginning April 28. While the schedule has been jam-packed, Gamma Upsilon has stayed on track in the classroom and had a spring full of fun. We hope to bring home another True Merit Bowl and possibly even more.
