Ellie Barrett '16 Wins Outstanding Sorority Chapter President Award T he Jane Hamblin Outstanding Sorority Chapter President Award honors a president for the 2018 term that demon- strated exceptional initiative in leading her chapter and has made significant and lasting contributions to the growth of her chapter. The recipient's nominator wrote: The nominee made a lasting impact on her chapter. Her professionalism and approachableness created a positive, respectful environment within the chapter. Members held themselves to a higher standard because of her ability to reach each member. The nominee empowered members to seek their full potential. She saw qualities and characteristics in members that they did not see in themselves. As a result, the chapter became a group of stronger, more confident women because of the nominee's efforts to make each person feel important. She also worked hard to ensure that members felt represented, but she was also able to make decisions that would benefit the chapter as a whole. Congratulations to the 2019 Jane Hamblin Outstanding Sorority Chapter President, Ellie Barrett '16.
