ALPHA CHI OMEGA 5 I am proud to report that the Alpha Beta Chapter had an incredible fall semester and in December we welcomed our new executive board composed of 14 officers. Thank you to our 2018 officers for your hard work and dedication! Our spring semester has been going very well. We hosted a successful Trivia Night to benefit the YWCA, which was a new addition to our annual philanthropy events. Members participated in Healthy Relationships Week through social media posts, passed out "love is" buttons and talked to fellow Boilermakers about healthy relationships. Our chapter has continued to participate in service events at the YWCA, which has been an eye-opening and humbling experience. We have also had two sisterhood retreats, which have helped our sisters connect with each other and take some time for themselves. The Golden Lyre Ball on March 29 was a fabulous event! On behalf of the Alpha Beta Chapter, I would like to thank all the advisors, the Home Corporation, alumnae, parents and faculty who support our chapter in many ways. We are extremely grateful to live in a beautiful house surrounded by real, strong women that encourage us to be our best selves. We are looking forward to having a great rest of the semester here at Alpha Chi Omega and enjoyed celebrating Alpha Beta's 101st birthday on April 26! We hope you take a moment to connect with a sister on that day and continue to support Alpha Beta. Loyally, Kathryn Jamieson '17 Chapter President Letter from the President Alpha Beta sisters set up a booth on campus to celebrate Healthy Relationships Week and promote domestic violence awareness. Left: On Monday, February 18, the Purdue University Glee Club came to the chapter house for a performance in honor of MacDowell Month. The Glee Club conversed with members before performing several classic a cappella pieces. After their spectacular show, the members had a dessert reception and got to know the Glee Club members better. Right: Sisters made the most of our long winter by getting out and enjoying the snow.
