Lambda Log Thank You, Loyal Lambda Alumnae A special thanks goes to the 62 alumnae who made gifts in 2018 totaling more than $13,400! The successes achieved by Lambda Chapter are directly attributed to the loyal support from you and your sisters. Your gifts allow us to provide an environment where our undergraduates can prepare for excellence in their lives after college while gaining friendships that will last a lifetime. O ur spring semester started off great! Our incoming executive board has been working diligently to implement exciting, innovative programming for our Chapter. We are thrilled to announce that our Chapter achieved an overall 3.55 GPA in the fall 2018 term, compared to the all-Panhellenic average of 3.37 and the all-women's average of 3.27. We are constantly impressed with our members' commitment to their studies. To continue Lambda's academic success, our GTB, Emerson Logan '17, has organized tutors within our Chapter to assist members with their studies. On February 8, Personnel Chairman Mira Felzien '17, Personnel Advisor Jennifer Alderdice, Kappa Alpha '91, and I traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to attend the national Firesides Convention. We had an incredible weekend connecting with leaders from chapters around the country and attending workshops focused on mental health, bystander intervention and hazing prevention. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, our Chapter hosted our annual February date party, Chi O Crush, at the Jazzhaus. Members dressed in their best red, pink and white and enjoyed a fun night of singing karaoke. Our social chairman, Grace Bolamperti '17, is finalizing plans for our spring formal, which will be hosted at the outdoor patio of The Jayhawk Club on May 4, 2019. Led by our philanthropy chairman, Ashleigh Bickford '17, our Chapter will be hosting Wish Week April 22-28 to support Make-A-Wish and help Lambda raise money to sponsor a wish child this fall. We cannot wait to participate in a week full of incredible events. We are cherishing the last few months we have with our seniors before graduation arrives. We are ever thankful for their contribution to our sisterhood. Additionally, we are so blessed to receive such unconditional love and support from our alumnae. We appreciate each and every one of you and hope to see you around the house soon!
