Elizabeth Bahensky Bell '45 lives in Olympia, Wash., and has four children: Kitty, Jane, John, and Nancy. Betsy retired as a State of Washington grants manager. "Having had a career and many years followed by volunteer work, I'm ready to put my feet up." She says her sister, Marion Bahensky '46, retired from many years of teaching in New York and lives in Saint Paul, Neb. Connie Clark Karges '51 enjoys living in Lincoln, Neb., and getting together with Alpha Chis to play bridge and have lunch. She stays busy with church, family, and PEO. "Best wishes to my 1952 pledge sisters." Email: jobarn@att.net Harriet "Midge" Allen Stork '53 and her husband, Dave, live in Ventura, Calif., and have three children: Ty (deceased), Todd, and Susan. Midge retired in 2010 as senior financial advisor for American Express Financial. She reports, "In 1985 Susan, at age 19, was in a terrible car accident. She was in a coma for six months. Today she functions as a high-level brain injured person, who has helped us spread the word in Ventura County. We now serve over 2,000 families who have 'the silent epidemic' (head-injured victims) living in their homes. We work closely with the trauma center at Ventura County Hospital." In 2004, Midge and six others created the Ventura Botanical Gardens in San Buenaventura. Midge is proud to read of Xi Chapter's progress and would be happy to get alumnae together in Ventura. Carol Nichols Rath '64 retired in 2005 and lives in Papillion, Neb. She married Ron Kleinschmidt in 1965 and had four children: Scott, Steve, Kelly, and Kim. Ron was killed in a farming accident in 1984. Carol went back to UNL to finish her business education degree in 1987. She married Don Kopecky in 1989; he passed away of congestive heart failure in 2002. In 2006, Carol married Bart Rath. They have 14 grandchildren and winter in Sebring, Fla.
