A Live Plant Auction will conclude the symposium with Avent as the auctioneer. Garden related vendors and special garden interest groups will be available for participants to browse, gather information and make purchases between sessions and at lunch. e purpose of the symposium is to carry out the Cumberland County Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Association's mission: to educate the residents of Cumberland County in North Carolina State approved horticulture practices based on unbiased, research-based information for their own gardens, lawns and landscapes. J ob seekers will have the opportunity to meet employers, hand out their resumes and apply for jobs. ey are advised to dress professionally; bring plenty of resumes; and be prepared for short, on-the-spot interviews with potential employers. A variety of industries will be represented at the job fair including education, business/professional, child care, customer service, government, distribution, food service, health care, retail and more.
